ATDC has recently installed its GS3 folding glass door at St Dunstan’s Pre-School Kindergarten at Eastwood in Sydney. The door was installed as an internal system to partition and divide a hall area at the school.
The folding glass door on this project covered an opening area of 8500mm x 3000mm high and was configured with centrally hung glass panels each 500mm wide.
The system is suspended from commercial-grade hangars from a heavy duty extruded aluminium overhead track, which in turn is supported along its entire span by an overhead structural support beam.
The curtain infill on these doors is a 6.38mm translucent toughened safety glass. Locking is seamless by way of intermediate down locks along the entire door span.
There is no need for any floor tracking system, and accordingly, any potential trip hazard is avoided. The door folds neatly to the side and out of sight when not in use.
The door installed on this project was finished in anotec silver powdercoat.
