ATDC Installs Leading Safety Barrier at Liquorland in ACT

Australian Trellis Door Company™’s (ATDC™) industry leading safety barrier was recently installed at a Liquorland site situated within a Coles Supermarket at Gungahlin in the ACT. The project manager and builder on this site was Mainbrace Constructions.

Safety Barrier Complies with Strict Licensing

ATDC’s safety barrier was deemed sufficiently compliant under the ACT’s strict licensing laws to secure the Liquorland store when locked and closed whilst the Coles Supermarket (which trades for longer hours) itself remains open for trading.

ATDC’s safety barrier at Liquorland is approximately 25 lineal metres in width and 2020mm high; it is portable, completely trackless and requires no overhead support structure. It is able to span Liquorland’s 25 metre shopfront without the need for any removable mullions. The safety barrier is fully retractable and collapsible and folds out of the way and out of site when not in use.  Refer Mobile Trackless Security Barrier.

ATDC’s Safety Barrier

ATDC’s safety barrier is steel constructed and is robust and strong-with its multi-point locking mechanisms it provides an excellent deterrent against would be intruders and a very effective loss prevention tool. It is also available in an aluminium version for particular use in installations in a marine environment. Refer Aluminium Trackless Barrier

ATDC’s safety barrier is unique in that it is both OH +S rated for safety and it also complies with Australian Standard 4687-2007 Temporary Fencing and Hoarding (in certain circumstances) Refer Mobile Trackless Security Barrier.  It can also be supplied in a double diamond configuration which prevents persons from putting their hands through the barrier to reach goods or products being secured behind the barrier.  Refer to our Double Diamond Trackless Barrier.

For Sale and Rent

ATDC’s safety barrier is now available for sale in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Darwin and all regional towns across Australia.  In circumstances where customers require a safety barrier for short term temporary use, ATDC’s safety barrier is available for rental for a fixed period Refer to Mobile Trackless Barriers for Rental.

BWS SELECT QUALITY PORTABLE FENCING

The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) is proud to announce that it is the preferred supplier of portable crowd control fencing to the BWS liquor group nationally across Australia.

ATDC: Preferred Supplier of Portable Fencing for BWS

About BWS

BWS (or Beer, Wine & Spirits) is an Australian chain of liquor stores owned by Woolworth’s Endeavour Drinks, which also owns Dan Murphy’s, Cellarmasters and Pinnacle Liquor. It is Australia’s largest retailer of liquor with well over 1,400 stores across Australia.

Applications of ATDC Portable Fencing

ATDC is supplying and installing its portable fencing in differing applications – first and foremost as BWS shopfront door closures inside shopping centres, and secondly as store dividers within Woolworths supermarkets where it is being used to separate BWS stores from the supermarket area of Woolworths. The latter is often a requirement of the prescriptive liquor licencing laws, which vary from state to state.

Recent Project: BWS Chadstone

The above image shows a recent installation at a new BWS store at Chadstone in Victoria. The fencing systems installed at Chadstone are at a standard height of 2020mm (note that 2520mm is an alternate standard height) and are mobile and free-standing, requiring no headroom. Their width is unlimited due to their semi-modular design.

They are manufactured from precision-engineered steel sections and have wall-mounted and floor-mounted locking options. They are compact and stable but easy to operate, running on a series of heavy-duty 75mm rubber non-marking bottom wheels. Discover more about ATDC’s mobile crowd control fencing.

Loss Prevention Applications

ATDC’s portable fencing systems are also being installed across the liquor display aisles in Woolworths Metro stores, where it is being used as a loss prevention tool to deter theft of alcohol. In these applications, ATDC’s double-diamond mesh portable fencing systems are being utilised.

These systems have the door mesh very tightly interwoven so as to reduce the pitch between the cross-links, making it more difficult for would-be thieves to reach through these barriers to access the liquor on display. Learn more about ATDC’s double-diamond mesh barrier.

Wider Applications of Portable Fencing

ATDC’s precision-engineered portable fencing is also being used by many other blue-chip corporates across Australia, including Coles Supermarkets and Liquorland stores.

Other suitable applications for ATDC’s portable fencing include securing pop-up stores, kiosks and other temporary retail tenancies; access control for shopping centres and public buildings (e.g. railway stations, airports, ferry stations, bus terminals); Worksafe applications such as building sites; sports stadiums; public events; securing bonded warehouses, factories, and loading docks.
